GOVERNANCE

The School is governed by a Board of Trustees in accordance with the Grammar Schools Act 2016. Responsibilities for the recruitment, employment of staff and the management of the School on a day-to-day basis are delegated by the Board of Trustees to the Principal. Other executive staff (Executive Management) are responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the School.


Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees consists of members appointed by the Governor in Council every four years.

Three Trustees are elected from and by the subscribers who have donated or subscribed at least, the electoral eligibility amount as prescribed by the Act; with four ministerial nominees.

Strategic Plan

The Strategic Plan establishes the School’s future vision by detailing our strategic imperatives, explicit objectives and agreed targets. The School’s purpose and values are at the center of the Strategic Plan, as is our commitment to providing space for innovation, and supporting our young women, boys and girls to grow and discover their potential

School Reporting

To comply with State and Commonwealth requirements, Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School including Ipswich Junior Grammar School is required to report on student and school performance. A set of standard areas on which schools must report helps parents identify the information they need to make informed choices about their children’s education.
